I think that emotional appeals and ad techniques are super important to advertising and commercializing a product. You can easily relate to someones life by using the same language, especially by targeting teens, because we are easily influenced to buy certain things.
For example, this iPhone ad. "Life is easier on iPhone." Targeting all groups, and telling them that their lives will be easier with an iPhone. It is a simple statement. They follow up with saying, "And that starts as soon as you turn it on." It is as simple as that. A technique they use is simple solutions. It is very apparent that as long as you buy and iPhone and as soon as you press the on button, your life is that much easier. Emotionally you will feel less stressed and more happy if you buy an iPhone.
